Our Covered Railroad Bridge Model

The museum received a very generous donation of a 1/48th scale model of the Contoocook covered railroad bridge from Mike Reed in Bedford, Pennsylvania. This model was completed in 2009 by Mike who utilized photographs and the HAER (Historic American Engineering Record) report for this bridge in order to replicate this beautiful bridge to scale. This bridge model is on display at the museum in our expanded display for the bridge on the second floor of the museum. Photos of the model are provided by Mike Reed and his online website.
